Superheroes have dominated the big screen for decades, with the newest group being those in recent releases, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. From popular comics reimagined to entirely new storylines, superhero tropes are among the most popular. But what seems to be becoming more popular are superhero family stories.
As seen in both WandaVision and Teen Titan, The whole super family can be very popular with fans. While families may not always be blood related, some of the film industry’s best and most famous superhero families are loved by fans.
Fortress: High Sky (2005)
Having two of the most famous superheroes in the universe as your parents can be a lot of pressure. Especially when entering high school without powers, that’s what Will Stronghold did in high sky. Even though it took him a while to gain his strength, he eventually got the power of both of his parents.
Will stands firm by The Commander and Jetstream, and he even picks up some great backup along the way. While Strongholds might not be the most famous, they were quite popular at the time, and fans of the film are still hoping for a sequel to see what happens at Sky High after Will and his friends become heroes.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: TMNT (1987 – 1996)

Four turtles, named after a Renaissance artist, have been tearing their way through the sewers of New York City for decades. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michaelangelo are perhaps the four most notorious crime-fighting brothers of this century.
Although other superhero shows are more popular recently, the original TMNT show is considered to be one of the best superhero cartoons which is neither DC nor Marvel. Not only are TMNT legendary, but they also have insane ninja skills that their sensei, Splinter taught them. Splinter is also a mutant, but a mouse, and he is known to have found the four brothers and raised them himself.
Teen Titan: (2003 – 2006)
Teen Titan debuted on television almost 20 years ago. The mismatched super gang that teamed up began to quickly capture the attention and hearts of fans around the world. For three long years, the show went strong, but ended at the end of 2006. Even though it ended, the team was not forgotten.
The Teen Titans is based on the DC comic of the same name. Even though they are not blood relatives, their bond is very strong and they always support each other. Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Raven became legendary as fans around the world cosplayed as them and begged for a return to the show. Although the show doesn’t actually reboot in its original form, Teen Titans Go! out seven years later. It may be a little less serious than the original, but the superhero family is still kicking ass and living together in the Tower of Titans.
The Asgardians: Thor (2011)
In Thor film, it’s clear that not only is family important to the Asgardians, but at least to the Thor family, it’s also a little tricky. Odin, Loki, and Thor are all gods of something, making them incredibly powerful in their own way. Even Frigga, Thor’s mother, is known to be strong and has the power of a god, even though the MCU doesn’t really touch it.
This family of gods became more and more popular as the MCU grew. With each film about Thor, it seems that he learns more and more about his family ties and how important they all are to his place in the universe, for better or for worse. Everyone knows that family can be difficult at times, but it can also be memorable and very powerful.
The Bat Family: Batman (1939 – )
Three years ago, the Bat Family celebrated its 80th anniversary. Since 1939, Batman and his group of friends who have finally become like family have entered fan life. Over the years, various film adaptations have been made of the characters and their stories. From depictions like the latest film, batman, to the early 2000s show Batman Beyonda show that Reddit fans want to revisit, DC has shown all the different possible ways Batman might form a new family.
As one of the original superheroes, it’s no secret that the Bat Family have time to build relationships for themselves. Alfred, Robin, Cat Woman, and many others famously joined Batman and helped him protect Gotham.
Over the last 14 years, MCU has added more characters to the Avengers team. But the original Avengers team is one of the most iconic superhero teams of all time. Even though they weren’t a real blood related family, they were quite close.
United to fight Loki and a race of aliens, a team of superheroes became legendary overnight. There is no doubt that this team is strong and can survive. as MCU Growing up, the Russo brothers introduced some great new characters, but the original still stood strong, taking sides when the family separated captain america civil war even more heartbreaking.
Justice League: Justice League Unlimited (2004 – 2006)
Another legendary super hero group that almost everyone knows is Justice League. Even though they weren’t an official family either, they always seemed to band together to fight bad guys like one big family. That Justice League has a lineup of heroes that are hard to beat, and each member can easily represent a specific family member.
From parents to siblings to aunts and uncles, they are all represented in Justice League in one way or another. Aside from their strength, power, and family qualities, they are a group that most people recognize whether they follow the comics or not.
Mystery Inc.: What’s New Scoob-Doo (2003 – 2006)
One group, which may also be family, considered superheroes but not in the usual sense, is Mystery Inc. This group consists of Velma, Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, and their trustworthy speaking Great Dane named Scooby-Doo. They work together to solve mysteries, and although they may not have magical superpowers, their powers of deduction are the best.
To many of the people they help, they are considered heroes, and they are probably the most acceptable group of superheroes out there. There are some weird things that happen to the crew, but they always find a way to get through it. Even though the show came out over 50 years ago, they still run a strong mystery to this day.
Wanda & Vision: WandaVision (2021)
Wanda, Vision and their two children are the newest and potentially most powerful superfamily in cinema. While they only had a short life together in WandaVision, they show how strong they are when they work together. In fact, WandaVision prepare a lot of things for the new Doctor Strange film.
As a super family, they have a lot of potential, and the reunion of the four of them is something of a tempting one. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Even though this superhero family is fairly new to the screen, they are gaining a lot of traction quickly, as fans are eagerly hoping to see more.
The Parr Family: The Incredibles (2004)
The most iconic superhero family is the Parr family, also known as Outstanding. Parrs shows both the positives and challenges of having to raise children with strengths in a society that doesn’t accept supers. There are many moments that relate to parents raising children, as well as children learning to grow up, making this film even more lovable.
The film was so popular and the family loved it so much that when the sequel came out 14 years later, fans flocked to theaters to see it. They may not be the strongest superhero group, but they have the strongest bonds and are by far the most iconic superhero family in the cinematic universe.
