New Talent Joins SCOTT Bikes’ Triathlon Legend – Bike Gear

Scott Announced new additions to their 2022 roster of professional triathletes and solved a mystery about the sport for the past 12 months…why doesn’t Magnus Ditlev have a bike sponsor? !

It’s worth noting that all of the athletes below have signed on for two years, which is a good sign of trust in the athletes and confidence in the broader sport’s prospects.

Sebastian no change

While some new names have been added below, SCOTT’s oldest and best-known athlete will remain on their roster until the end of his career.Of course it’s German Sebastian Kinlera two-time IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion and the 2014 IRONMAN World Champion, is one of the most respected and honored athletes in the sport for over a decade.

2022 represents Sebi’s “last dance” in his quest for championship success before he wraps up his illustrious career in 2023 with some of his wish list competitions.

Kienle has been on SCOTT Plasma for so long that I don’t remember him playing on anything else at all. This is a great brand association from a partnership that has stood the test of time. All-round win-win.

“I am very happy to end my triathlon career with a company as strong as SCOTT behind me. It has been a pleasure working with them for the past 12 years and I look forward to what the future brings.”

Magnus out of tape? !

At least according to PTO ranking statistics, Denmark’s Magnus Dietliff Currently rated as the strongest cyclist in the sport. At just 24 years old, he’s already proven that he’s not just good at fast bike racing, winning the IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais and Challenge Budva, as well as multiple podium finishes in 2021.

Eighth place in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship gave him a glimpse of what the future holds.

Early last year, we got a detailed look at Magnus’ previous rides — which included tape, cardboard, and yoga matte custom (!) — and were a bit baffled that a man with so much talent and clear future potential wasn’t backed by one big brand. We are happy to see his performance now paying off.

“When working with SCOTT, I am excited to have the opportunity to work with a team that has the same ambition and focus on every aspect and detail of the bike. When I get my feet in the race, I want to make sure I am using the The fastest device available, and I really believe SCOTT can do it.”

This is of course not surprising, because Ashley Gentle Kicked off a new chapter in her triathlon career at SCOTT Plasma 6 with a landslide victory at CLASH Miami last month.

Finishing fourth at the IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside last weekend, Gentle is sure to contend for a spot on the International team in the second Collins Cup later this year.

scandinavian rock

There is clearly a lot of talent in Scandinavia at the moment as the new addition to SCOTT joining Magnus Ditlev is Swedish Rasmus Svenningsen.

Rasmus is primarily focused on hardcore distance running in 2021, with a 1st in Lake Placid, 2nd in Austria and 3rd in IRONMAN, South Africa. At the time of writing, he’s already the No. 15 athlete in the PTO, but he’s still a relative rookie in the pro ranks, and his best performance may be yet to come.

“Success can only be achieved through an uncompromising passion for absolute world-class performance. I’ve been practicing this uncompromising attitude and I’m very excited to be working with a brand that truly shares these core values.”
