Rajouri hosts ‘My Youth My Pride’ event in badminton; kickboxing, boxing and volleyball to follow – Indian Education | Latest Education News | Global Education News

Srinagar: Moving from one border town to another, the Sports Commission’s “My Youth My Pride” initiative reaches Rajouri and Shadi Pola, Bandi Pola in the Kashmir region.

In Rajouri, a badminton tournament was held and many players participated.

Congressman Javed Chowhan was the chief guest, and many other officials and spectators were also in attendance.

Meanwhile, in the Kashmir region, events in the disciplines of kabaddi, badminton and tanga were held in the indoor hall of Bandipola Shadipola. Over 270 participants attended the event.

Division Sports Kashmir, Nuzhat Farooq hosted the event as chief guest.

Hilal Ahmad, Incharge TRC Synthetic Turf and many other officials from the Sports Commission also attended the event.

While interacting with the athletes and others present, the chief guest said the Athletic Council is expanding its footprint at J&J to include more and more athletes under its umbrella. She also asked everyone present to participate in games and sports to maintain physical and mental health.

When asked by one of the participants if My Youth My Pride would become an annual event in the future, her answer was yes. She also assured that there will be more events at Shadipora with different competitions in the coming months.

MIE Akura and Seer-XI are victorious in the ongoing Springfield Cricket Championship at Nanil Cricket Ground.

Yesterday’s match between BSK Karshangama and MIE Akura went into the latter’s kitty. For the winner, the Rayees topped the list with 53, while Waqar was one of the wickets to grab five scalps, earning him the tournament title in the process.

In today’s game, Seer-XI and Sport Club Seer played their first game of the day.

Seer XI decided to bat after winning the toss and set a goal of 172 for the opponent. Shakir Zahoor was the leading scorer with 54 points for the team. Aijaz and Aaqib also made cameos with 25 and 27 respectively.

In response, the Sports Club Seer missed the target and trailed by 12 points.

Shakir Zahoor was declared the man of the match for his performance.

Another match between Young Islamia Anzwola and Wonder Boys Seer was in progress when the report was filed.

Meanwhile, SCFA defeated Chanapora Football Academy 2-0 in the Youth Football League at Ghani Memorial Stadium, Srinagar.

With this victory, SCFA became the third team to confirm their place in the final round of the league, which begins next week.

Although Saahil and Feroz were the goal scorers, the best man for this match was Sahil as he showed great game skills in addition to scoring goals.

Today, the final match of the qualifying round will be between Sopore FA and SCFA Bandipora.
