Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt. 2

The fifth and final adaptation of Stephanie Meyers Late afternoon story, Dawn Breaks Part 2 hit theaters on November 12, 2012. Meyers has released Midnight sunwhich follow Late afternoon from Edward’s point of view, and it looks like the door to a potential adaptation has closed, especially with the cast members reprising their roles.

Disney’s Destroy it Ralph hit theaters October 29, 2012, propounding the idea that “just because you’re a bad person, doesn’t mean you’re one” bad people.” The film follows the video game villain Ralph (John C. Reilly) on a mission to earn medals that only heroes and good people win. On May 4, 2012, Avenger shows how sweet results can be felt, bringing together solo films and flirtations over a four-year period that was only the beginning of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Since then, the MCU has gone deep into Phase 4 with many faces from the original Avengers team having passed the torch to their successors. The film follows Thanos’ first temptation (Josh Brolin) the coming war, when he sent Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to wreak havoc on New York City with an army of Chitauri soldiers.

The “Avengers” as fans know it wrapped up in the Infinity Saga ending with End game in 2019, one of the most anticipated films of all time. The team has come a long way since the battle of New York and the MCU is showing no signs of slowing down.

The resurrection of the dark knight

Disney’s Brave opens in theaters June 22, 2012, one of the first Disney Princess films not based on a pre-existing fairy tale or fable. Brave follow Merida (Kelly Macdonald) who, after conveying a wish to change his fate, accidentally turns his mother into a bear, and must find a way to reverse the curse. Preceding Moana and Elsa, Merida is the first Disney Princess to avoid a love interest.

Since his debut, Brave haven’t seen a sequel or tv adaptation and Merida herself has made a cameo appearance in Ralph Breaks the Internet and a few others. This film showing how strong a female character can be and that it doesn’t define a greater legacy for herself is a missed opportunity.

Les Miserables

This adaptation of the beloved musical set out to make movies like never before. It debuted on December 25, 2012, and went on to win the Academy Awards for Best Actress (Anne Hathaway), makeup and sound design. Les Miserables accepted the challenge of recording each musical number live on set, resulting in a show that, while well-acted, for the most part paled in comparison to traditional stage productions.

Les Miserables is a feat that shows what a live-recorded film musical with stellar performances by Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfriedand Samantha Barks played Marius, Cosette, and ponine, respectively.
