The weekend is here, and it’s time to relax with some great movies and shows on Prime Video. May 1 saw a lineup of great movies released on Amazon Prime, with lots of old favorites included.

Children in the Hall Season 1 (2022)

The kids are back! The original Canadian sketch comedy from the late 80’s/early 90’s is back and now on Amazon. Children in the Hall is a continuation of the original show and is the first Canadian Amazon Original series.

The series, like the original, is produced by Lorne Michaels and brings together all of the original cast members. Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson return for an 8-episode run featuring a new season of characters and vignettes.

This season will also see a slew of guest stars that include Paul Bellini, Pete Davidson, Catherine O’Hara, Kenan Thompson, Brandon Ash-Mohammed, Will Forte, Catherine Reitman, Samantha Bee, Fred Armisen, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Jay Baruchel, Eddie Izzard, Tracee Ellis Ross, Mark Hamill, and Colin Mochrie.

Human Anger (2021)

Action thriller Film human wrath directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham, the duo’s fourth collaboration.

Statham stars as H, a newly recruited Los Angeles cash truck driver who surprises his coworkers when he prevents the theft of his truck’s contents. This leads to questions about his mysterious past and his precision skills to fight would-be robbers.

The film also stars Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Chris Reilly, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonso, Raúl Castillo, DeObia Oparei, Eddie Marsan and Scott Eastwood.

Sniper

Sniper is an action thriller film directed by Robert Lorenz that sees Liam Neeson play Jim Hanson, a former Vietnam Marine and Vet sniper.

Jim, an alcoholic widower, lives on his ranch in the Arizona border town with his dog Jackson. His daughter works for the US Border Patrol, where Jim reports every attempted illegal crossing. But on one occasion, he finds himself trying to help a young boy escape from a drug cartel and bring him safely to his family in Chicago.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

Film Sonic the Hedgehog based on the Sega video game and is Jeff Fowler’s directorial debut.

The film follows Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz), who, like his video game counterpart, is a hedgehog who can run at supersonic speeds, as he teams up with the local sheriff, Tom Wachowski (James Marsden), as they work to stop the scientist. crazy Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey).
