Colorado Springs, Colorado. — Select Physical Therapy’s USA Triathlon Pikes Peak Swim-Run Series will run from April to September this year and will include a series of youth Splash & Dash competitions in Colorado Springs and June 25 in Adult aquatics (swim and run) competition at Memorial Park Colorado Springs.
Select Physical Therapy’s six Pikes Peak Swim and Run series include Pikes Peak Athletics and USA Triathlon Pikes Peak Swim and Run at Colorado Springs Memorial Park on June 25 at Pikes Peak Athletics and American Triathlon Pikes Peak Swim and Run. Each event is part of the Rocky Mountain State Games, hosted by Colorado Springs Sports.
“This series is a celebration of Colorado’s multisport community and a fun opportunity to introduce young people to the multisport lifestyle. We’re excited to focus on our sport with the Pikes Peak Swim Series and bring the multisport event together Bring it to Olympic City, USA. Select Physical Therapy’s US triathlon Pikes Peak Swim Run on June 25 includes water sports (750m swim and 5km run at Prospect Lake) and youth splash and sprint (100m swim, 2km run). Participants can participate in water sports as individuals or as part of a two-person relay.
The Colorado Springs and Colorado Frontiers multisport community is encouraged to compete, cheer and support the multisport community. Set in picturesque Memorial Park with Pikes Peak as its backdrop, the race will take place on the calm waters of Prospect Lake and the flat, fast trails that surround the lake.
SUPCOS will provide swimming support swimming on race day. In addition to offering stand-up paddle board rentals, SUPCOS also offers weekly open water swimming opportunities at Prospect Lake for local groups and training athletes.

The remainder of the Pikes Peak Swim-Run Series includes five youth splash and sprint events at Pikes Peak Track and Field. The Splash & Dash series of events is part of the USA Triathlon goal to increase opportunities and participation in multisport events for current and future youth multisport athletes. The first Youth Splash & Dash in the series is on April 24th as part of the Pikes Peak Athletics Weekend Open House, which includes food trucks, kids activities, show demos and more. The fee is $30; if the participant is not an annual member, Pikes Peak Athletics will pay the $10 annual membership fee for USA Triathlon Junior.
Focused on participation and fun rather than competition, the Youth Splash & Dash program aims to introduce a multi-sport lifestyle to youth athletes aged 7 to 15 through a unique aquatic (swimming and running) discipline.
In all Splash & Dash activities, 7-10 year olds will complete a 100m pool swim and approximately 1km run, while 11-15 year olds will complete a 200m pool swim and approximately 2k runs.
